Within the W.I., other groups have been formed e.g. a Book Club, a Craft Club; a Walking Group who meet once a month to walk the local bye ways, followed by a chat and lunch at a local hostelry; and a Theatre Club with visits to London and local theatres. Throughout the Summer months our Recreational Organiser is always planning a get together for fun days such as a game of petanque followed by lunch, a game of bowls followed by a delicious buffet or a friendly game of darts against another W.I., and if that isn’t enough to keep us happy she throws in the odd trips out – may be to some Castle, Mansion House, Garden or some other place of interest. There is never a dull moment
Our doors are open to everyone whether young, looking forward to retirement or already enjoying it. Many new friends are here waiting to meet you. “The kettles on, so come along”
