Once again we were lucky with the weather on the day, although at least one owner had a frantic Sunday morning restoring his garden after the torrential downpour on Saturday.
The final net total raised was over £2,500, a real tribute to everyone's efforts. This means that the local Hitchin Helping Hands charity will receive approximately £800. As this charity depends exclusively on individual donations, it will make a considerable difference to their finances.
Like last year it was a "Hats Away" competition held in St. Katharine's Church. There were 19 entries. The Winners and Runners- up are as shown below.
