Despite frequent light drizzle the Litter Collection Day on Saturday 21 June (providentially the day before Open Gardens) attracted 16 parties of collectors.
Thanks to Melvin Flack, NHDC kindly supplied Ickleford with a bin and some extra litter pickers which all helped on the day.
Once again scouts and cubs were to the fore. Thanks are due to Gill Matthews for recruiting these - and to their families for loyally turning out with them.
The Parish Council thanks all who participated for their thorough coverage of the entire village, such that the streets were amazingly tidy for the next day's visitors.
We are pleased to announce that Mrs A Cowan won the free prize draw and choose to have meal vouchers for The Plume of Feathers.
