The main part of the site is going to use a wiki (liek wikipedia etc) so that it will be editable by the public if you know the password. This is hopefully going to allow for a lot of colloboration between interested people. If you are not to sure about using a wiki you can read some of the pmwiki links on the site menu and test it out in the sandbox page.
At the moment she has only looked briefly at how to structure the site so ignoring all the pmwiki links on the site menu she has proposed a few but please let her know what you think of these and if you want something different or to add or take away.
She has also set up a mailing list to discuss the technical side of the site so anyone who is interested in suggesting other things they can use (like a forum etc) can discuss them with like minded people. To join this group please send a blank email to make@icklefordhistory.co.uk with the word subscribe in the heading and then wait for approval.
She is hoping to have not just the wiki but also a forum and perhaps a family tree section and a few other things on the sites.
At this point she is open to any suggestions at all as well as questions as to what is happening.
