Ickleford triumphs again in the Village of the Year competition retaining the trophy we won last year as Herfordshire Village of the Year West.
The results were declared at County Hall, Hertford on Thursday night (28th June) with the judges describing Ickleford as "A village which not only starts projects but follows them through, is going places and knows exactly what it wants. A village where the ideas fizz like champagne".
The formal presentation will be on Saturday 21st July at 12.00 noon in the presence of the new Lord Lieutenant for Hertfordshire, and it is hoped there will be another good turnout of residents like last year to join in the celebrations.
