Ickleford Common Holders is the oldest known association in the village with records back to 1866.
There are 17 properties within the village who have retained their Common Holders Rights. That right is to graze cattle on Ickleford Common. Of the 17 properties 2 can graze 6 cattle, 1 can graze 4 cattle and the remaining 14 can each graze 2 cattle.
The Common Holders Committee are a group of dedicated volunteers who, with the Parish Council, manage five areas of Common Land in Ickleford - Ickleford Common, Whitsun Common, Lower Green, Christmas Common and the Village Green.
